Do any of you have it? I have it sitting next to me right now and I'm contemplating whether or not to open it.

I have MLB 07: The Show for the PS2. I play it a lot because I play the Road to the Show mode so I don't really have to deal with any big roster changes.

I purchased MLB 08: The Show for the PS3. I mostly play the Road to the Show and maybe a Franchise or Season once in a while. Is it worth opening it for the improved graphics and Road to the Show feature?

I opened it, and it's simply spectacular.

best Sports sim on the PSP by far although NCAA Football 09 looks amazing on that console

I haven't seen anything about NCAA Football 09, nor am I a big fan of the NCAA games. I'd rather play Madden.

You've got to be kidding. Those games are 10x better than Madden in all aspects. I just cant believe the same company puts out two different types of football game. If Madden was produce the same way as NCAA it would be a whole lot better game and less complaining from the consumers.

What's so difference? It's just different rosters and some different game modes.

The gameplay, the controls, the details, the graphics are smoother, its more realistic, the atomosphere etc is all different then Madden.

BUt Madden has to put much more into the games than NCAA..I dont think NCAA even uses names of players, just numbers.I havnt played much of the NCAA games but another thing that could be different is Madden has the exact replica of each stadium where i dont think NCAA games do that for every stadium.

Theres just s alot more options on Madden than there in on NCAA.Thats why game play seesm smoother and such.

But back on the topic, "The Show" games are the best baseball games made..Much better than any of the 2K8 games.

I thought they were essentially the same game.

Well thats my opinion based on the 07 games..I havnt played The Show 08 yet but i have played 2K8 and it seems to me that the 2K8 game is just trying to make it too realistic. The pitching is very pointless. There is no need for that much effort in pitching the ball in a video game.

Indeed. It's really like comparing mangos to oranges.

Indeed. It's like comparing mangoes to oranges. It's substantially closer than apples to oranges, however.

I absolutely agree. In fact, I enjoyed it when you just pressed a simple button and then held it for how much effort you wanted to throw into the pitch. It was simple and effective.

I created a starting-pitcher, Marc... (#24)

After a phenomenal Spring Training, he signed a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Rays. He is now the #3 starter in the Biscuit's (AA) rotation. He currently have a 3-0 record with a 3.50 ERA.

I'm going to continue following my player on here. For all you know, he may be the next big thing for the Boston Red Sox.

Marc ... is still the #3 starter in the Biscuit's (AA) Rotation. He currently has a 4-1 record and an ERA around 3.21 or so. Sadly, the ace usually gives up ERs on homeruns rather than simply base hits. For example, in his last outing, he held the other team to only four hits but gave us two ERs.
