I receivd an email in my inbox indicating I had the chance to go and buy Tickets to the chargers- Saints game on October 26th in Wembley Stadium . However I am not 100% sure I will be able to go so if I'm not just offering the chance for any member here to buy up to 4 tickets for the game. I realise this might be short notice and it won't be much fun if you're neither a Chargers-Saints fan but it's a great opportunity to see London and an NFL game. Anyone who wants to go just PM me for the code pending on whether I can go or not. Will let you know by Tuesday
I'd love to go, but the airfare to London is just so expensive!
Considering the astronomical prices of airfare nowadays, especially from the United States, I would offer those tickets to your friends in Ireland or perhaps if you have some in London. I think you should continue to keep the offer open on here, and perhaps I'll even promote it on some Ticketing Sites if you cannot go. But, I would try anything possible to go because it's one of those rare opportunities to see an NFL game in your neighboring country.
The Chargers aren't bad and the Saints could be good. I really need to see a copy of their updated rosters before I make any further predictions, though. Everything nowadays is about analysis rather than just going with your gut feeling.
Can't argue with that. Another factor taking into consideration would involve buying through Ticketmaster which from my experience are a complete shambles. I do wish the people in charge of the NFL UK office in Britain would do the ticket buying through a different agency.
I also could understand it would make much more sense seeing a game in New York or Boston rather then pay an astronomical fee to go to London but just thought I'd show it anyway. I'll probably know whether I can go or not by Sunday.
Oh yeah and the Ticket sale starts at 5am your time so thats even more of a negative!
Chargers Roster
I don't even wake up until 6 AM. But, I never had any bad experiences through TicketMaster. I'm not fond of their additional fees that they charge. For example, If I'm buying $35 tickets to see the New York Mets - I believe that a $10 charge for processing fees is a bit heavy.
Thanks for the links - I'm going to look through them later.
Gave the code to someone on the NFLUK site Figured no one else on here could make it.
Not too bothered went to last years between the Dolphins and Giants but it doesn't compare to going stateside and catching a game there which is why I could be heading to Miami to see the Dolphins and Niners game as one of my best friends is a Dolphins diehard . Would be a fun thing to do once the exams are over plus I heard Miami is a decent place to visit
Miami is really nice, except for the fact that most of the residents are retired citizens from New York. However, I would try to come to the US and see an NFL game here. I have never seen the NFL in the UK, but I can imagine that the enthusiasm won't be as great because most of the fans will not have the same connection to the players as we do. But, I know that the UK is into rugby and the fans may really jive for the NFL there.
For that matter, if you're into rugby, I'm a fan of the New Zealand All Blacks.
Thanks for offering us the opportunity to attend the game, though. We really appreciate it!
I think that it should be a great game. The Chargers have a sensational offense with Phillip Rivers and LaDanian Tomlinson. But, the Saints just acquired Jonathan Vilma from my Jets to aid their mediocre defense. At this moment, I can't pick a clear victor for this game.
Thats pretty cooll. There is an enthuiasm for the game here we get all the NFL Network coverage literally, Monday Night Football and sunday Night Football games along with a doubleheader so there is definitely a market for it (in fact we do get more coverage then the English Premiership here). All spectacular for a minority sport here really!.
And you're right the UK/Ireland is really into Rugby but there is just a slight divide between both supporters as to which sport is tougher which usually means all the stereotypes comes out e.g. "NFL players are pussies because of the padding". Very irksome and tiring.
I have beeen to a game stateside ironically Alex Smiths debut for the 49ers against the Colts on my birthday which was an incredible experience. San Francisco is an awesome city.
Cool you're into Rugby. Not a big fan of it myself but it is quite spectacular to watch!
Wow, I did not know that.
I'm not trying to start an argument here, but I agree that rugby is much tougher than the National Football League. But, I think that the tackles in the National Football League are much worse and more brutal. It's simply your opinion on the sports.
Not to disappoint you, but Alex Smith is nothing to what he was expected to be.
I'm not a fan of rugby, but I just know the logistics of the sport and which teams are decent.
