WHEW!!! Close game for the Celtics-Cavs.Lebron had 2FG and Ray Allen had 0 points.Thank God for KG who had 28 and put the team on his back because Pierce only had 4 pts. Both team scored in the 70's.Lebron only had 12 points and 8 of them were from the free throw line..Cant wait till the game on Thursday.
2 FG for LeBron but 12 points? He must be a lot better at the foul line than I thought (8 points from the line).
Ray Allen scored zero points? That must be an all-time low for him.
Lebron didnt get to the line that much.
If he scored eight points from the line, it's expected that he got at least four trips to the line.
He was 8-10 from the line.He has averaged 12 trips to the line in the playoffs. BUT a big thing is he also had 10 turnovers.I mean he did have 9 rebounds and 9 assists but 12 points fomr James will not help Cleveland win a game nevermind the series.
BUt with all this, i dont expect a similar performance from James.
Just from watching clips of the Celtics game 1 Rondo's the best defensive PG in the league He's.astounding in one on one situations, plays almost perfect pick and roll defense, and rotates to the right guy almost every time.
Offensively, however, you can rattle him
Well i agree with you about the defensive part..BUt its only his 2nd year and Rondo isnt a great shooter. He has done much better this year shooting and i believe if Rondo was easily rattled he wouldnt have made the 2 free throws after Williams gave him that hard foul.
Definitely. And he has vets around him that will help his development. He was one of my favorite players in the 2006 draft, and I was hoping the Warriors would pick him. Unfortunately they picked POB in what was a horrible draft
Almost hitting a triple-double isn't bad, but Cleveland needs pure offense!
He sure is. I haven't really considered him as being an offensive threat.
I think that he'll develop into a substantial shooter, but not someone who could score 20+ points per game consistently.
I thought that was a good draft, but not for the Golden State Warriors. Why did they pass up Reddick?
Bargnani has been a bust in my opinion.
Reddick wouldn't have got any playing time under Nelson anyway him and Marco Belineli are virtual clones in my eyes. The only pick that will amount to anything special in that draft is Brandon Roy
Just the numbers, through 6 playoff games....
Kobe Bryant
PPG: 34.3
RPG: 5.8
APG: 6.3
SPG: 1.3
BPG: 1.0
FG%: 51.5%
FT%: 82.2%
FG%: 35.3%
TS%: 63.6%
-Lakers are the only undefeated team in the playoffs
-Lakers are the only team to score 100+ points in every game.
-Lakers are averaging 114.7 PPG in the playoffs. I believe the next closest team is around 102 PPG.
This is the best I've ever seen the triangle. Utah was the 2nd best team in the league this year in terms of defensive efficiency, and the Lakers are just destroying them.
Adam Morrison?
Roy was selected right before Golden State.
You forgot something:
-Lakers are the best team in the 2008 NBA Playoffs.
I love Jeff Van Gundy's ideas to stop flopping, which is ruining basketball. Watching Chris Paul and Manu Ginobili is hurting my eyes. Here are Van Gundy's three proposals for flopping:
1. If the referee thinks it's an exaggeration of the contact, even if he thinks it's also a foul, call no foul;
2. Review of every game tape to determine how often flops happen: points assigned for flopping; upon a certain number of points accumulated through the season, suspension;
3. If you're suspended, you also have to wear a scarlet F on your jersey so the referees know who the floppers are.
My gosh - This is like the Protestant Reformation.
YES!!!!! Celtics hold Lebron and Cavs to 73 points and take game 2...GREAT JOB defensivly for the Celtics.Anyone see this game? Lebron looks REAL BAD!!!
All I gotta say is that if Kobe went 8-42 from the field in two playoff games and his team scored 73 points in consecutive games there would be much more significantly negative media coverager then there is now
