Just to continue the other thread from the previous forum.
It's a shame. The Nuggets have so much individual talent, yet they cant play together as a team. If you take away the big 4 (Kobe, Gasol, Camelo, AI), I think the Nuggets match up well against the rest of the Lakers. But all they do is stand around and watch AI kill 20 seconds off the shotclock, only to throw up an errant shot or dish off to a teammate who has no time to make a play. And since AI plays over 40 minutes a game, the entire Nuggets team looks like the AI show, and nothing more.........
Yeah, that is a shame about them. I think they need to bring in a coach that will bring more discipline, and tighten the team up. And maybe bring in another big man to compliment Camby, considering Martin isn't what he used to be. But if AI keeps playing like he is, they're going to get swept.
It's going to take some time before Allen Iverson starts becoming a "team player."
Kenyon Martin has never been as dominant as he once was in New Jersey.
I think the Lakers may be able to win the NBA Finals if they continue to capitalize by superb teamwork and given shots to the people that are open. I hate seeing Kobe Bryant, or Allen Iverson for example, force a jumper.
No he hasn't, he went down hill ever since his second season in Denver.
Yeah, but the Nuggets defense is terrible, if they play someone like the Celtics with league leading defense, they won't be able to do what they want at will.
But the Nuggets won't play the Celtics, because the Lakers are going to beat them in their current series.
No, I'm saying the if the Lakers played someone with the defensive intensity of the Celtics, they won't be able to do all the things they are doing against the Nuggets.
Oh. You accidentally posted "the Nuggets," so I was confused.
Now, I got you!
Yeah, I didn't catch that part haha.
Oh well. I think this forum gives you 2 minutes to edit your own posts - which is an improvement over our old forum.
It's insane how the Nuggets have Marcus Camby, Kenyon, Carmelo Anthony, JR Smith, Allen Iverson, and Nene. They are such a great team and with that talent should be a lot better, but ashame they are putting it all to waste because they don't care about about defense. They have three or four guys leak out to the offensive end, and leave on one or two players to rebound.
Now you know how the Warriors felt last season. Trying to play a physical, LONG team like the Jazz without an inside presence is an impossible task.
The Rockets should take pride in that 22 game win streak though. Not a single person thought this team was capable of a stretch like that.
Big win for them though it probably won't be enough
Welcome to The Sports Sanctuary, gsw.
Offensive scores the points, but defense gets you the win.
Yao Ming must be wondering why the Rockets started winning when he was injured.
Well for starters their schedule during the 22 game winning streak was one of the easiest by far
Just like Washington yesterday, down 2-0 headed home, Phoenix will smash San Antonio today
